Navigational Task This study aims to analyse and compare the movements of visually impaired volunteers and sighted individuals within the city centre of Glasgow with the aim of highlighting the main barriers to access. Conclusions drawn from this study will be used to inform local authorities and the Scottish Government as to ways in which they can improve the urban environment for the needs of visually impaired people. The ultimate outcome is that these conclusions would inform the creation of a new set of design guidelines to update the current Building Standards.
